Paper on micropollutant biotransformations!

Congratulations to M and to honorary HRG member Jingyi Wu for the publication of their excellent paper on differential biotransformation of micropollutants in conventional activated sludge and up-flow anaerobic sludge blanket processes.

In this study, M and Jingyi explored the differential biotransformation of micropollutants in conventional activated sludge and up-flow anaerobic sludge blanket processes. They coupled field-scale measurements with laboratory-scale experiments to identify micropollutants that exhibit preferential biotransformation in each type of biological process. They also identify structures of biotransformation products and link putative biotransformations to the redox conditions of each process. Excellent work by a great research team!
